Mount Pleasant, SC
Jewelry designer and abstract artist inspired by the landscapes of Charleston, SC and Aspen, CO. My spirited paintings remind viewers to live fully.
MessageFrom her sunny studio in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Currie Kilpatrick Boyd creates both jewelry and art that reflect her spirited, expressive style. As the founder of Currie Jewelry, she designs and handcrafts one-of-a-kind pieces using carefully selected gemstones and precious metals. Her versatile designs have been featured in Real Simple, Brides.com, Charleston Magazine, Charleston Weddings, Skirt!, and Charleston Art Mag.
Alongside her jewelry business, Currie is an abstract painter whose work is influenced by the ocean in Charleston, the mountains of Aspen, and the humor she finds in daily life. Her art evokes joyful moments and invites viewers to embrace curiosity, play, and wonder.
Through wearable pieces or painted canvases, Currie’s work is connected by a common thread: a celebration of lived experience, a gentle reminder not to take life too seriously, and the belief that creativity has no finish line.
Statement
Inspired by the beaches of Charleston and the mountains of Aspen, my work is often described as spirited and is created with the willingness to break traditional rules in favor of honesty and the unexpected. The intention being to invite connection and possibility. At the heart of my work is a belief that creativity has no finish line. I paint to remind others, and myself, that it’s never too late to start something new and to live life to the fullest.
