I started professionally storytelling at age 11, which launched a prolific 35 year career in performance art. "Once Upon a Time" harkens to the storybooks of my youth, always about becoming... fairy tales and worldwide mythologies warned and inspired my young creative and adventure-thirsty imagination. As I transition in life, over and over again, these images, symbols, and archetypes roll back in—never far from my mind—reminding me there's always a beginning. Beginnings hold promise of the unknown, and are shrouded in what's natural: trust in the Universe. When ready, we emerge and journey out. When life breaks trust (as it will), we are challenged to find the seed of knowing, of trust in oneself—the spark that is ours inside. An important part of mythos is understanding what is true and real to the journeyer; what resources one has to save oneself. Through saving ourselves though, we also reveal the very gifts we have to offer saving (sometimes disrupting) our communities and the world. Evolution is drive of promise...
