Mile High Marks
4” x 7” | Mixed Media on Paper | Framed
This abstract miniature reimagines Denver’s downtown skyline through the language of color, mark-making, and motion. In Mile High Marks, vertical architecture of the city is distilled into gestural forms and rhythmic linework—reflecting not just what Denver looks like, but how it feels.
Infused with energy, the piece plays with repetition, pattern, and unexpected pops of color. Each stroke and symbol becomes a stand-in for movement—traffic, conversation, music echoing between buildings, the layered history and cultural beat of a city at elevation.
In its small scale, the piece offers an intimate yet bold celebration of Denver’s dynamic skyline as a living, breathing composition.
