This is a portrait of a phenomenal animals you know the majority of dogs are. This special little lady came with many lessons and lots of love. She is from Texas, however, her origins are England. thus the Union Jack in the background.

Bulldogs [ aka Bullies] have a friendly, courageous and calm temperament and are not sporting dogs. A fabulous companion in the art studio that can not be bothered chasing tennis balls.

I have tried to capture her dignified dogsona by painting her thick-set, low-slung, well-muscled body and "sourmug" face --the universal symbol of courage and tenacity.

This docile, loyal companion is a city girl yet adapts well to town or country.
