The work suggests time, memory, movement. The painting has a compelling, gestural rhythm—rich with dynamic layering and contrast. The interplay of teal, navy, gold, and soft white gives it both energy and atmosphere.

This painting was created as a visual meditation on movement, memory, and layered emotion. Working in a non-objective language, I use gestural mark-making, color tension, and spatial ambiguity to explore the emotional resonance of form without representation.

The piece evolved through a process of intuition and response—building, covering, and revealing—until a certain internal logic emerged. Areas of dense structure dissolve into spacious fields, inviting the viewer to find their own associations within the shifting topography.

Though the work was commissioned, it remains grounded in my practice of making space for ambiguity, where interpretation is a collaboration between the painting and the viewer.

Original work commissioned acrylic painting for guest bedroom in private home. Extra special as client is in her 80’s and enjoys life!Painting will reside with 2 three dimension collages and 2 miniature paintings from my Marfa, Texas series. Grateful to have 5 pieces of art I created in one space.
