Yantra is a mystical diagram often used as an aid in meditation. Yantra was commissioned by the California State Parks and was inspired by a “food web” concept presented to the artists. The State Beach architectural modular, sail-like forms directed the color scheme. The shells on the mosaic were picked up along the beach in Imperial Beach and the piece was created offsite in North Park and assembled in Brailsford’s studio at Brown Field.
