Talya Baharal was born in Israel in 1955, and at 16 quit high school and moved to London, where she started working as a production assistant in TV. She began to draw and paint in her free time. Later, Baharal worked on the Foreign Desk at CBS in New York, and took a jewelry design course while she was there. She moved from jewelry to larger scale sculptures. Now living in New York, Baharal mostly paints.
