Peter Petrochko creates wood crafts that are an outgrowth of studying both architecture at the University of Cincinnati and fine arts at Silvermine College of Art. While studying design, he became enthusiastic about making objects of wood.
Though he has made furniture in the past, he is currently focused on creating pieces which range from geometrically patterned bandsawn vessels, to natural vessels hand carved from a single log. Many of the vessels Petrochko creates are one of a kind pieces in which he explores various relationships in form, pattern, color, texture, and light.
