Michelle Gamm Clifton was born in 1944 in Los Angeles, CA. She studied at the University of Illinois, Pennsylvania State University, and Yale School of Music and Art. Clifton has been the subject of various solo exhibitions, including at Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA. She was featured in the group exhibitions Sewn, Stitched and Stuffed, Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH (1973) and Figure and Fantasy, The Smithsonian Institute, Washington, DC (1974-75). Clifton is a licensed massage therapist specializing in sound healing with Tibetan Singing Bowls. She is a craniosacral therapist , a certified Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner and has studied energy healing since 1987. Clifton currently lives and works in Garrison, NY.
