Lauren Adasko was born in Brooklyn, New York and was educated at the Arts League in Manhattan and at Mills College in Oakland, California. She began her career working with batik, and later worked in pastels. Her work has been shown at the Blue Mountain Gallery in SoHo, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo and the Elaine Benson Gallery in Bridgehampton, N.Y.
