Al Stirt has been a professional woodturner for over 40 years. His works can be found in numerous collections, including the Smithsonian, the White House, the Museum of Arts and Design, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Stirt has taught woodturning in Australia, England, Ireland, New Zealand, Canada, and South Africa, in addition to all over the United States. In 1997, he was awarded an Honorary Lifetime Membership by the American Association of Woodturners for his commitment and contributions to the field. Stirt lives and works in Enosburg Falls, VT.
