Statement
My work aims to translate data into art to educate and bring people together. My process is informed by my training in architecture and figure painting, which help transmit my findings into a tangible form for others to experience. I have a passion for transforming complex subjects into easy-to-digest visually dynamic paintings and sculptures. My practice often begins by collecting data through interviews and research that inform my approach, composition and materials. Through the development of my work, I take into consideration the formal elements of line, shape, space, and perspective in a harmonious relationship to my research. During my artistic process, I frequently create a deeper connection with the subject matter by using personal reference images. The final product is guided by my intuition and overarching ideas of the subject. Overall, my work explores a sense of belonging and simplifies the complexity of life.
