In the fall lies the evidence / of the sublime.

Matter wrapped in itself / drops all its weight / into the folds / and falls silent.

Perhaps the soul, / to stop from falling, / found nothing else to hold on to
but matter, / and there in it, submissive, / awaits the grace of being /sublimated.
