The intention of this mural is to reflect on the rich variety of foods that can be available to all people, and the diversity of cultures associated with these nutritional sources. Hands represent the efforts of those who produce our food, the autonomy of those who presently need more nutrition, and the Berkeley Food Network staff and volunteers that help them. The mural, designed with the help of those staff, is dedicated to a future when their service will not be needed.
