The processes of art making, teaching the skills of drawing and printmaking to others, and the traditions of printmaking have given me access to a particularly rich language of images that can evoke wonder, beauty, intelligence, understanding, empathy, ethics and poetry. I believe that throughout history, the arts are one of the major ways that we share our true understanding of our lives, and that the arts are a tool to continue to reach across the global, cultural, religious and intellectual divides that plague us as human beings.
