Intersections
Intersections, by Nick Stull is a mural located in the Franklinton neighborhood on the west side of Columbus. The design expresses intersectionality by mixing geometric shapes with organic life. The geometric patterns represent architecture and infrastructure, and the organic life is illustrated as native plants, butterflies, and local birds and animals.
Conceptually, the mural highlights the importance of intersections to our communities. Physically, they provide access, humanistically, they create the culture of our society, and environmentally, they define our relationship with nature. Cross sections flow seamless throughout the mural, presenting a harmonious vision of the intersections of Sullivant Avenue.
