Yellow Composition #1 is part of an ongoing series of works incorporating found neon. Retrieved and salvaged from neon factory floors, the parts that make up these works are combined and reconstituted to give life to an otherwise discarded object. Working with found neon, the artwork poetically navigates a set of limited material boundaries to create an evocative exploration of line, shape and colour.

The streams of found yellow neon suspended on hooks are closely placed together, converging to create an intensity of light and molten-like effect, further exploring the formal qualities of neon and its potential as a medium.
