‘The Way of Love’ is a lyrical and imaginative work. Initially, this work seems quite flat, but on closer inspection is it seen that it is in fact, dimensional. 1760 pencils have been gathered and organised, each sharpened to a pre-determined length giving the work an undulating quality casting shadows. The colour changes with the light as one moves around the work.

Colour is the ‘key’ in the work as it is used to produce a ‘code’. There are 36 words embedded in the work, but only one complete sentence- ‘In the Way of Love’. One needs to know the code to be able to read the work, to find the sentence and the single works embedded in it.
