This mural was completed by the artist as a part of the School Connections Mural Art Project and included workshops with students aged 10 to 12 from Mullaloo Beach Primary School.

In the workshops, the students nominated which marine animals they would like to include in the mural’s composition. The student's observational drawings were incorporated into the Mullaloo Beach sign. The artist then composed the two mural designs, depicting children interacting with the marine animals to reflect their connection to nature and the project.
