Alex Spremberg is one of several highly significant Western Australian artists not represented in the City’s Art Collection. The absence of artwork by this artist in the City’s Collection is noticeable. With large artworks fetching towards $25,000, the City has had little opportunity to acquire works by this artist, effectively filling gaps in the Collection, until now.

Highly acclaimed Western Australian artist Alex Spremberg sees paintings as three dimensional objects rather than solely flat surfaces. His striking monochromatic and fluid-like artworks are formed through collaboration between gravity and the artist.
