This 16x40 Acrylic painting began with an old black and white photograph and a tree.  It started to take shape as the story formed itself upon the canvas.  The finishing touch was the ultimate watcher....the calico cat named Maggie.  At first glance one may think Maggie is the woman hanging the clothes, but I can assure you she is not.  Satisfaction is more of what the woman is feeling as she runs her own little business, hanging washed laundry in the fresh air of the countryside and driving her truck to deliver the naturally sweet smelling fabrics back to the city dwellers who lack the luxury of fresh air and their own clothes line.
