The fractured foreground emerged first in this intuitive abstract. Rather than giving in to the turmoil, I took it in a more optimistic direction, with the rosy palette and intact cities in the distance. The message being that, I can see our civilization surviving the current divisiveness, but I'm not seeing a smooth pathway to the other side.
