I frequently attempt to depict a feeling of homecoming in my paintings. This one started out that way, but I intentionally skewed several elements to interject a feeling of disquiet in the viewer. The light source in particular is ambiguous, which requires the viewer to interpret the scene for themselves. This painting debuted in a show at Studio 1212 Art Gallery with title , “aTell Me a Story.‚”. What’syours?
