Interdisciplinary artist, Ciarra K. Walters (1992), explores the human body as both the medium and subject of her work, capturing its essence through film and photography. Her artistic practice centers around cultivating a heightened awareness of one's body, using movement, nature, and color.

Inspired by the sculptures from both nature and artists, Walters embraces spontaneity and intuition, allowing them to merge with her physical being, giving rise to her captivating performance pieces. Whether amidst rock formations, trees, blades of grass, concrete structures, or metal objects, she interplays those with the body, its emotional state, its surroundings, and its instinctual movements.

Through her performances, she establishes a profound connection with and understanding the concepts of time, mortality, and the delicate nature of human existence. Her artistic expressions exude strength and assert ownership over her physical form, building upon the conversations initiated by pioneering artists regarding the female body and its constraints on freedom of movement in the world. Walters endeavors to create a space where movement can be embraced and celebrated.
