"Temporary Sculptures" is an ongoing series performed in various locations, including Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and Miami.
In this performance art series, Walters envelops her body with wire, creating a "cocoon" that painfully molds her physique into what society often deems the "ideal" woman's body shape, reminiscent of an iconic Coca-Cola bottle silhouette. This artistic endeavor serves as a poignant exploration of the boundaries she imposes on herself, encompassing the mental, emotional, and physical restrictions she endures to attain this 'dream body.'
As she embraces this self-imposed confinement, Walters underscores the juxtaposition between constriction and liberation. Once bound by the wire, her body, which was initially free, now faces limitations. It is within these vast and fluid environments such as deserts and beaches that she finds a newfound appreciation for the freedom of movement.
