Christy Crimmins Garcia

Dallas-Fort Worth photographer chasing awe, simple moments, and inspiration..
MessageChristy is a landscape photographer based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area whose work aims to preserve the simple moments and places that leave us awestruck — that feeling of being simultaneously small against the vastness of the world and deeply, unmistakably part of it.
Her work takes her from small Texas towns to the quiet, fog-draped waters of Louisiana bayous and the ancient red rock formations of Monument Valley. She describes her approach as opportunistic rather than prescriptive — chasing the feeling over the location, and waiting for the precise convergence of light, atmosphere, and stillness that transforms a scene into something that resonates.
Her artistic philosophy reflects a belief that the most powerful images don't demand grand subjects. They demand presence, patience, and an eye trained to recognize the extraordinary hiding inside the familiar.
Christy's work has been selected for gallery exhibition in Abilene, Texas, and recognized in local photography competitions. She is an active member of the photography community, driven by a love of critique and conversation as fuel for her continued growth.
Statement
My photography explores simple moments and places that evoke a feeling of being part of something much larger than yourself, whether that's awe at the vastness of the landscape or the simple peace of a sunset reflected in water. I'm drawn primarily to landscapes because they consistently deliver opportunities to experience and preserve that sense of wonder, but I also find these in candid moments of human connection. What unites my work isn't subject or location, but emotional intent -- capturing simple moments that inspire.
