Christina Wilson, originally from California and now residing in Texas, has been oil painting since the age of 10 developing her skills at several studios in California. Her method has evolved to include vibrant color and bold, dappled brush applications to convey light and reflections. Christina’s subjects are drawn primarily from nature. Her historical artistic influences have been the impressionists such as Manet, Monet, Degas and Renoir; however, Christina tends to lean towards a stylized realistic interpretation of her subject matter with a hint of whimsy with an aim to convey hope and resilience.
