  • About

Chris Budden has worked in various media for over 40 years and has been creating bronze pieces for 16 years. His early works were primarily woodcarvings. In his youth, Chris worked on his uncle’s ranch in Northern Colorado. This experience with livestock and wildlife influenced his early carvings, horses and birds. While serving in Germany his interest in other subjects was inspired by the work of woodcarvers in Oberamergau. Over the years, the bronze sculpture industry developed in Loveland, Colorado; where his grandparents lived. As he saw more of the bronze creations over the years, Chris felt a strong desire to create in this media. Always looking for interesting subject matter, Chris enjoys photographing and observing wildlife and western scenes.

As an Artist in Residence, at locations throughout the Black Hills of South Dakota, Kansas, and Wyoming. He conducted sculpture demonstrations and explained the production of limited edition bronze sculpture, using the lost wax process. He has exhibited his works in galleries and shows in Colorado, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming.

He resides in Aurora, CO.
