Redefine Our World
- Medicine cap
- IT Department
This mural was created to represent the ability to redefine what we believe and to help us learn to see things in a new way. We started this project in February 2020, right before the world as we knew it was about to change. With the onslaught of the pandemic, we knew we had to pivot and redefine what our plans were for this canvas. We got creative and instead of gathering to complete one canvas as a group, we were able to paint 15 small canvas, sending our pieces home to each team member with a kit to complete the project, each adding our unique creative touches. When the individual canvases are combined, the whole is a pictorial depiction of the Colorado flag as viewed on a computer monitor.
The Mountains represent how we strive to reach the summit; but we have to remember that we don't with gigantic leaps. We get there in increments, by going through each feeling, each belief, each experience one step at a time.
The Trees and Forest represent the path of the unknown. Not all sections of the trail are smoothly paved and easy on the feet. Sometimes life is easy, and we need to enjoy the journey; and other times the trail can get confusing and bumpy. We still must travel along the challenging times, slow down a bit if needed, and persevere because it won't last forever.
The Snow represents the footprint we make in our communities. When a large portion of the CHCO team members transitioned to working at home, we as the IT Division had to make sure our infrastructure was strong enough to support all the at-home users, rapidly expanding Telehealth avenues and in person services. We have worked hard to achieve this goal. We are strong and support our CHCO community.
