Ventus Convallis means wind of the valley. A piece designed like this can be vertically or horizontally. This piece is installed floating out from the wall by 1.5" so a shadow is cast on the wall. The inspiration for this piece is wind. Within this piece a stone is contained by bamboo cross cut and sewn to give the visual appearance of bamboo stacked around the rock. The stone symbolizes the permanence of land, and the cross cut bamboo symbolizes the structures that are built around it by man.
