Painting is my passion. As far back as age 9, I knew Art/Painting was my "IT". I am grateful my parents empowered my creativity allowing me to take Art lessons at the Brooklyn Museum in New York during high school years. I acquired a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Philadelphia College of Art now known as UVA Philadelphia. As it turns out my career took a detour. I am thrilled to say the journey was eye opening. The positions I held with 4 Iconic denim brands (Chic, Express, Wrangler and Lee) were Head Designer, Merchandiser and Fabric Developer. I had the privilege to travel internationally all the while taking in sites of Michelangelo's work and visiting the Louvre.
I am inspired by works of Romare Bearden, Jerry Pickney and Martha Wakefield (Contemporary Abstract Artist) and David Lobenberg(Contemporary Watercolor) to name a few. Continuing to learn is critical to my personal growth. Evolving artistically and encouraging Young Artist to follow their natural talent are my priorities.
