An emotional, color-infused oil painting of a lyrical backyard tree. Notice how it appears to be walking? It's actually embedded in the earth and has been for decades. It's not even really earth, but sand, as this was painted in Palm Springs. The sun was slowly setting, the winds were up, but I didn't much notice as I rendered the elements and how I felt about them.
