Dear Earth,

The storm moved in slow and electric,
bruising the sky purple
while the sun burned low
like it knew its time was almost up.

The mesa stood quiet,
layered with centuries,
watching light and weather argue
across the canyon rim.

I stood with it—
small, stunned,
grateful for the kind of beauty
that doesn’t care if anyone’s watching.

that even chaos can glow.
