The Town of Castle Rock Public Art Commission, in collaboration with the Downtown Development Authority, commissioned a carving from a once-majestic but now dead tree at Festival Park. Renowned local artist Bill LaFleur was chosen for this unique project, celebrated for his ability to transform wood into captivating works of art. Bill's intricate carving features a lifelike beaver, symbolizing industriousness and the Town's connection to nature. This beautiful piece breathes life into the park, celebrating Castle Rock's spirit and creating a beloved landmark for all to enjoy in the heart of Downtown.
