“Listening to water, light, and season — I create images that invite us home to the land.”
MessageCaron McBride is a Canadian artist creating from her rural cabin near Shuswap Lake in British Columbia. Her work explores water as teacher through the shifting seasons — winter stillness, spring thaw, summer movement, and autumn reflection. Beginning in photography and transformed into softened, painterly compositions, her images balance realism with atmosphere and memory. After forty-one years in education, McBride brings a deep respect for future generations to her practice. Through her ongoing series Four Seasons of Listening, she invites viewers to pause, reconnect with the land, and remember their belonging within the natural world.
