This work came to life during a challenging time. Amid that uncertainty, I turned to painting letting the chaos move through me and spill onto the canvas. Bit by bit, something shifted. The energy softened, and a quiet calm began to settle in. These pieces hold that transformation. They carry the tension and tenderness of change. Even in the messiness, beauty can still take shape. Joy can return. And life continues in its own unpredictable rhythm.

 Carole Boudreau is an abstract artist based in Toronto, originally from Canada’s east coast. Her artistic journey began as a search for self-expression and a way to connect with herself and the world around her. She works intuitively, beginning with bold, physical gestures that gradually unfold into layered, atmospheric compositions. Each painting holds space for what’s felt but difficult to articulate. Carole is inspired by her inner world, human connection, the natural world, open space, changing light, and the freedom she felt growing up by the ocean.
