A self-taught artist who paints for the pleasure of losing herself into whatever mood, spirit or image that is inspiring her
MessageI have always found creativity and art in the careers I have chosen and pursued. From life as a professional figure skater to a marketing career in the music business, I see my new life as a painter as a natural continuation of my experience.
Rather than pursuing a formal art school education I have sought out inspiring and talented artists to learn from and to be inspired by. My practice is predominantly focused on animals and nature with a particular passion for forests and trees. Many of my paintings are drawn from my own photographs of places I have been, trails I have walked, animals I have seen on my many safari adventures. I try to create a spirit of happiness and hope. There is light at the other side of the forest.
At this point I am more of a learner than a professional. I am passionate about my journey and developing my practice and humbled by the acceptance and reaction to it. It has been thrilling to find an appreciative audience for my work.
