Sunset Flooding 12x24 Pastel For this painting I used a lot of texture to create the feeling of stubble in the field. Brayers and clear gesso were used over and under the pastel layers applied. The layers work together to create the beauty of the sun glinting in the water of the flooded field after a heavy rain. In the distance farmhouses and barns remind us of the influence of the farmer upon the land
