Statement
Artist Statement
Nature, beauty, climate change, spirituality and current global events inspire my conceptual impressionist
work, naturalist and creative in my original style.
My medium of choice is oil painting on museum canvas.
Being true to myself and always challenging my mind and spirit with new creations
feed my soul. Originality is crucial, copying other artists work even as inspiration isn’t right for me.
My style could be defined by my intuitive process facing a blank canvas and starting
painting staccato, leaving the mark of the brush or the spatula with rhythm and flow marking the movement of the wind on the water or clothes or the sky, usually in thick layers of oil painting.
Most of the time I work ‘Alla Prima’ doing all the painting in one session but there are
paintings that I keep adding layers even for many months, even years, till the desired effect is
reached.
Being recognized and accepted to become part of the global movement: Techspressionism based in NYC, I like using
design programs and tech on my artworks creating new ways of expression.
Virtual and Augmented Reality are very interesting tools, calling my attention many years ago.
In 2021 I was selected by a Gallery in Italy and my artwork was
exhibited using AR in the environment of the city of Florence, Italy and many other forms of Virtual exhibition with their app.
