Video featuring an art exhibition by Los Angeles artists Carlo Marcucci, Susan Sironi and Joyce Dallal, held at Offramp Gallery in Pasadena, California, (March 8 to April 19, 2009).
A short video of the art exhibition "Unrooted" held at Shatto Gallery in March 2025. The show featured the work of five Italian artists based in Los Angeles: Bryan Ricci, Carlo Marcucci, Claudio Santini, Jeff Iorillo, and Luigia Martelloni and was co-curated by Yujin Iris Jeong, (Curator and Associate Director of Shatto Gallery), and Cynthia Penna (Curator and Director of ART 1307). Unrooted challenged the conventional notions of belonging and identity by celebrating those who thrive in the richness of diverse experiences and cultures. In contrast to the negative connotations of being uprooted or displaced, this exhibition explored the idea of being rooted everywhere— and embracing the concept of a global identity that transcends borders. Through art, the exhibition reflected the journey of these individuals who had discovered strength and purpose not in fixed roots, but in the freedom of exploring new realities. Art, in this sense, has become a tool for expansion, thus offering the possibility to connect with and understand the unfamiliar.
