Intense vibrant reds with varying textures and depths, suggesting a dramatic, fiery sky or atmospheric effect. The reds range from bright vermillion to deeper crimson, with touches of burnt orange and hints of yellow, created through layering and scraping techniques typical of oil and cold wax medium.
Transitioning into cooler, more serene tones dominated by pale sage greens, misty blues, and subtle lavenders suggests a more ethereal, translucent quality of the movement and transparency of water.
"Riding a Wave" seems fitting, as the composition implies the dynamic meeting point between a dramatic sky and turbulent water, or perhaps the moment when a wave crests.
Each painting I create is presented in one of my handmade maple frames, wired and ready for installation. All materials I choose are archival, ensuring long-term preservation and quality.
