Diamonds between Spaces shows the energy where two opposing colors meet. A white slowing moving line divides a soft, muted greenish blue on top from a deep reddish tone below. This bright line stands out, creating a strong contrast and adding movement to the painting.
Thick layers of oil and cold wax build a textured surface. The paint was shaped using palette knives, cards, and fingers, giving the work a rich, tactile feel. The cool green brings calm, while the warm reds adds depth and warmth.
The painting captures a space between two areas—both separate and connected, like cool water and warm land. That white line acts like a bright flash or diamond, highlighting the moment where these colors come together. I was trying to find the energy that happens when water touches shore.
Each painting I create is presented in one of my handmade maple frames, wired and ready for installation. All materials I choose are archival, ensuring long-term preservation and quality.
