Cameron is a 19-year-old artist with an imagination that floods onto paper, canvas, or face through various mediums: pen, marker, pencil, paintbrush, stylus, and make-up palettes. She creates vibrant paintings with a flair of the avant-garde, experimenting with textures, bold colors, fanciful beings that straddle between the curious, thought-provoking, and the extraordinary.

While amidst her surroundings – listening to friends, attending a school lecture, visiting with family, watching a show – Cameron sketches what’s in her mind - a bewildering eye, a flowing mane of hair, a dress with runway flair, or animal creatures in mighty forms. It spills from mind to paper with each original vision.

Cameron’s art education includes more than 12 years with Silvermine Art Center in New Canaan, Connecticut. During her high school years, Cameron received excellent instruction and mentoring from art teacher Joanne Dowling at Winston Prep in Norwalk, Connecticut (June 2020 graduate). Cameron has received two art awards as a young artist with art pieces most exhibited recently at Norwalk Public Library (2020) and The Carriage Barn (2020), home to the New Canaan Society for the Arts.

Cameron’s most recent work (spring 2021) was published on the cover of New Canaan’s St. Mark’s Episcopal Church’s children’s publication, The Lion’s Den, depicting the meaning of Good Friday. This spring, Cameron completed several adult painting and drawing art courses at Silvermine Art Center and works part-time locally in New Canaan. She is applying to art school for the fall of 2021.
