C. Clinton's acrylic painting "Unfolding 2", is a 24 x 18" abstract painting mounted on watercolor paper. The soft pallet of blue- green, and earth tones evoke a the feeling of looking down on the earth from the air. The experimental play with color- pouring, dripping, evaporation and layering paint are the actions of the process that brought the “Unfolding” pieces into being. This body of work sits at the intersection of intuition, process and reflections. The pieces in this series evolve as a call and response process. The images are filtered through memory, feeling, ideas and materials. They are an attempt to express a sense of awe and wonder often sparked by surprise, or ephemeral moments of beauty. The intent of these paintings is to reflect beauty and be window to spirit.
