Stepping out of the wind, down into the protective swale
Only to stumble across an alien landscape
A place of impossible contrasts laid before you
Hard and soft, straight and curved
Rippled and smooth, light and dark
Your breath catches as your mind struggles to grasp
A vista that cuts you with its scimitar beauty
