MessageStatement
“As a fiber artist and paper maker, I weave together abstract landscapes that reflect my profound connection with nature. Through my eco-minded practice, I aim to inspire a sense of wonder and awe for the natural world, while highlighting the importance of sustainability and land stewardship. I most frequently use repurposed materials and environmentally conscious techniques to create intricate, layered artworks exploring color, light, and texture. My artistic process is a meditation on the beauty of impermanence and the resilience of the natural world. As a military spouse and mother of two, my artistic journey has been transformed by displacement and adaptations to my own evolving environments. My artworks testify to creativity's power in the midst of uncertainty and the importance of staying rooted in one's values and passions. Through my art, I invite viewers to slow down, observe nature's intricacies, and contemplate their own place within the larger web of life.”
