Britt Greenland
Renton, Washington
Award-winning Adventure Artist and Custom Painting Specialist--Let's tell your story in paint!
MessageOriginally from rural Minnesota, Britt has lived in the Seattle area since 2001.
She was fortunate to have the same amazing art teacher throughout her 4 years of high school in Pillager, MN--population 459.
This continuity gave her a solid basis of color theory, composition, values, as well as confidence to keep on creating.
She has taken workshops from Mitch Albala, Mike Wise, Pam Ingalls, and Jim Lamb, but her first real oil painting lessons were from a neighbor who insisted on being paid in homemade goat cheese!
When not in the studio, Britt loves travel, hiking, cycling, and climbing with her husband and friends- often painting on the way. She is a prolific artist finishing at least a painting a week and showing work frequently in national and regional juried shows.
Capturing and immortalizing the wonder of creation is her passion! She finds these "wonder moments" anywhere from dramatic mountains of the Alps or Cascade ranges to the intimate way a trail through the woods is dappled in sunlight.
"“It’s a response to the fullness of life that causes me to paint a wide variety of subjects, expressing my wonder about each one.”
