I did this acrylic painting, first painting a green background and then drew the face from my mind. I painted this during COVID19, and this is why I have the squiggly line in the background that represents instability. I admire the strength and vulnerability of Black women to meet the challenges of living. A new sister friend dreamed about this painting, and unknown to her I visualized it hanging on her wall as well. She has become a close friend and spiritual guide with me as well as the other two Black women in our collective.
