Brenda Myrick studied Studio Art and Art Education at the University of Vermont. Brenda continued her studies at three residencies at the Vermont Studio School. Brenda's continuing source of inspiration roots back to a time when her mother painted at the kitchen table.
Statement
I explore the themes of nature and animals, melding realism with abstract design elements to create my paintings. I aim to highlight the intricate relationships within the natural world and evoke a sense of connection that is often lost in modern life. Through my art, I invite viewers to deepen their understanding and appreciation of nature, fostering a renewed connection with the animal world, our environment, and ourselves.
