My works are emotional expressions of memories, lived and dreamed experiences with no concept but being free. Poetry, not prose.

Borg is a lyrical abstract neo expressionist painter/poet. Though she followed some schooling at The Art Students League in New York City in 1987/88 and de Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 1989/90, did drawing and painting sessions with other artists in East Berlin, Ireland and New York City throughout her travels and was taught silkscreening by a friend, she is a mainly self-taught artist.
Working with a variety of materials, charcoal, paints, oilpastels, markers, pigments, flotsam and surfaces. The titles of her works are in English and a definite part of the picture.
Though often recognizable forms are shown with simple raw gestures on the canvas, they are at the same time abstractions not to mean anything other than trying to evoke the looking of the viewer, rather than the knowing what is presented. It's poetry, not prose.
Borg lives and works in Kwadijk in the Netherlands
I hear colors… I see things, I’m in love with light, my head is riddling and rhyming away during my waking hours. I dream in Hungarian, I paint in English. Time is something I see in a birds eye view. I think about time a lot. And memory. Personal drama and trauma has followed me from a young age, painting has always been my savior.
When I paint I’m in heaven. Well, sort of.. It’s the only place where I know I am free and what in the world I’m doing.
It’s the smell of paint too, give me a thousand fresh blank canvasses and I’ll paint you the world within the next year or so & no dash will be the same.
