Born 11-11-1965 in Zeist, Netherlands

Borg is a lyrical abstract neo impressionist painter/poet. Though she followed some schooling at The Art Students League in New York City in 1987/88 and de Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam in 1989/93 did life drawing and painting sessions with group of artists in East Berlin & New York City & is mainly a self-taught artist.

Working with a variety of materials, charcoal, paints, oilpastels, markers, pigments, flotsam and surfaces. The titles of her works are a definite part of these materials.

Though often recognizable forms are shown with simple raw gestures on the canvas, they are at the same time abstractions not to mean anything other than trying to evoke the looking of the viewer, rather than the knowing what is presented. It's poetry, not prose.
